Skated Jermain skatepark today. Summer is gonna be great, already skating better than ever. Sprained my ankle pretty bad a few weeks ago, I could’nt skate to my best for a good 4 weeks. Finally it is getting stronger, and I can skate my hardest again. Sometimes I still land on something wrong and get a sharp pain, but it’s to the point that I can ignore it now. More coming soon on JIVEapparel.info. Can’t wait to enjoy this summer to the fullest!!

JIVEcompter
May 19th, 2009 — JIVEcomputer
My own little computer business. Nothing serious yet, just something I enjoy doing. Fix compupters, clean virus/spyware, fix hardware, upgrade hardware, new custom computers, customize old computers, tweak, tune, overclock, burn in; basically anything. Almost have a full site up, JIVEcomputer.com, just a way to help me contact new customers. Should be done by the 20th. I have been doing free estimates for: repairs, new custom builds, and reccomendations. I’m gonna be able to charge way less than Dell, Geek Squad, and all those types of places. Worst case, I give someone a free estimate, they go somewhere else and find out it costs more, and end up coming back to me anyways, right? I always thought making computers was interesting. Tweaking them to make a cheap machine run at maximum perfomance, paying $500 to get a comptuer that can contend with a $1000 Dell computer, all fun to me. Modding and overclocking, mmmm, I guess I’m a nerd. JIVE!
Code Igniter
May 17th, 2009 — web design
Working with Code Igniter better than Taco Bell’s chicken quesadillas. It makes coding your webpages so modular. I can cut straight to working on the good stuff, and not mess with copy/pasting code a million times, or using a flakey theme system. I really liked Dreamweaver at first, used it for about half a year. The ftp system and the clutter it adds to the end product’s page code just get annoying. It just cant match up to CI, so I had to switch. After trying out code igniter, and working more on pages with php backends rather than simplistic html only pages, it is deffinatly the way to go. I love the way “controllers” work, you can accomplish so much with so little commands. It is so easy to create a new page with your exsisting headers, footers, functions, links, everything. People seem to dislike Code Igniter, using the “code it yourself sissy” reasoning. I disagree because I think people who use CI know how to do the code themselves, but I see no reason to recreate all that hard work. This framework has everything put together so much better than I could possibly have done alone. Not to mention, it would be long, tedious, boring programming to get done what CI sets up for you. I know HOW to do php/mysql type pages from scratch, but why do that when Code Igniter can make the process go 10 times faster? Thats all I’m sayin Jack. Be jive.
