Bakerized.com got some nice updates!

On-Site SSL Secure checkout system (no more off-site Paypal CC handling)
Ad-Scroller now has controls. Integrated to store’s admin panel banner manager for easy update.
Space for video added to main page. Check it out!
Grid Display for product listings. Peep the Gost line of clothing.

As you can see, Sam Baker (Bakerized Pres.) is all about keeping his online store looking it’s best. Using Pay Per Click campaigns on Facebook Ads helps boost Sam’s business.

Battery powered NES with 7in. LCD

Ripped apart an old portable DVD player, gutted the useless parts, and crammed the rest in an NES. Powered by a rechargeable battery. All wiring is soldered internally. Output jacks still available to output NES to a TV. Input plug for using the LCD for other things. Good stuff.

I created this site using WordPress as a CMS. Also used various php and WordPress tags to create custimizations. Plugins such as: WP-Cummulus, SEO pack, and more were used to enhance features. Graphics done in Photoshop CS4. All together it was a fun site to work on!

www.Bakerized.com is live! Setup this online store for Sam Baker of Columbus, Ohio. Based on zencart, but heavily modified. Did all the coding work myself, made the theme from scratch. Sam helped by uploading his 100′s of products on his own, which saved me alot of busy work so I could add more features to the site. I think it turned out great. Customers can pay with PayPal or a credit card, and can now get FREE SHIPPING to the US. We originally had all customers picking from a few USPS options upon checkout, but Sam decided to offer free shipping (something almost every other skate shop does not offer!!) International customers can pick from a few USPS options. Zencart kicks ass, it has so many features and so much support on the web, you can learn to make it do about anything you could want from a shopping cart CMS.

Adding a business to google maps

Google makes everything easy. Defiantly adding my info to google maps ASAP. I’ve always saw stuff like this on google maps, but never thought to look into how to add your own info. The video wraps it all up, I like it!

I have always liked the older systems, I have hung on to at least one of each. Over the last few years I have bought and sold a good bit on Ebay. Figured I would try to toss together a rough page for sellin them to pass around. Nothin too fancy, just some sql selects from a table or 2, the page is able to show system specific items. Wanna learn how to searches to the database and spit em back on a decent interface, so that functionality will be added soon. Got a little better with php on this run, check it out on my videogames page.
